Does anyone recognize maker, engine, etc.
Looks like it could be fun.
It says "custom built". Maybe it doesn't have a name. Plus it almost looks like a mini-sprint car. No guess on the engine.
It looks pretty sophisticated for $800 with a spare engine. Front and rear suspension, differential. If it were near me I'd buy it quickly and figure out the details later.

Looks like an old Malibu car from the late 70's early 80's. Had a rotary engine originally.
Not Lola 506, they used Hillman Imp rear hubs, not a live axle. I drove one at Action Park back in the day, while my Imp was in the parking lot. I was struck by the number of Imp parts on it.
Like already mentioned, my first thought was an old Malibu Grand Prix cart. Holy crap I wasted so much money in those at the location off I-75 in Cobb County, GA. I was a single loser with no game and a good job, so I spent most of my weekend nights honing lap times. Between these and the "Top Thrill" dragster.
