I have not been around GRM for a while. Life has been challenging, but the Porscharu is running better than ever. This was take in NC yesterday on a 4 hour solo mountain run.

The picture looks great, as does the car.

Do you have a build thread for the car? Which Subaru engine are you using?

I'm only guessing here .. but I'd say it's somewhere out here in the western end of the state

It was great to do a solo mountain run. I all ways try and get a group or bring a friend, but going alone was great. It is all on your own time and at your pace.

Either: 1) Great Smoky Mountains National Park, somewhere near Sylva or Cullowhee, NC or 2) near Highlands NC?

Yes that wooden bridge is in is the Sliding Rock parking lot. It was a really nice day to drive, but a bad day for swimming.

Cold year round.

When I was a kid, that was a slightly wide spot in the road. If you didn't know it was there, you would pass it. No lines, no railings, no life guards. Ten trips down the rock and your teeth were chattering and your lips were blue. It was a blast. We would stop there every summer we stayed at my grandmothers house.

We tried to go there a couple of years ago with our children. In two hours the kids got to go down twice. Long lines, bossy lifeguards, and bus loads of people. Not to mention they charge you to get in now. Man it sucked.

A couple of hours beating the bushes, found one of the places the locals go. I'm not telling anyone where it is.

I'd be curious to see more of this building. From this angle, it looks modern/pre-modern a la Frank Lloyd Wright.

Sweet pics, awesome car.

If you are ever in Knoxville or next time I am in Greenville I'd love to see the Subie swapped 911. I just read the whole build thread. That's awesome. There was another guy on pelican who did the swap into a silver mid-year. I don't know how it turned out, but the fab to get the radiator, gas tank, and coolers mounted is unreal.

Awesome.

Nice pics. Looks like the spot where they were taken has already been identified, but I too read the linked build thread and just want to say that that is one cool car.
