I need the Immobilizer reprogrammed in my jdm 97 sti ecu because I don't have the original key with the chip in it. Thus my fubaru doesn't have spark. I need to know if that is something that can even be done on a jdm ecu here or if I need to look for another jdm ecu and key together. Thanks folks
Edit - ill say as well I'm trying to just buy another ecu and key set but the guy is in the UK on eBay and doesn't really want to ship to the states so its a pita either way.
Sounds like megasquirt might be easier.
You can repin for the USDM ecu, megasquirt, or go with a used ecu off ebay. Keep in mind that not all of the EJ20Ks and EJ20Gs JEC ecus had immobilizers. AFAIK that was a factory option so you might not need an ecu with a key.

Wow, I have never heard of a V3 with a built in immobilizer. Are you certain it has an immobilizer? Just buy a 6S ecu off the net. I saw one on nasioc.com the other day for about $250 or so.
Lachute Subaru in Quebec can flash them, but I heard they get bricked frequently when trying.
So get a full aftermarket. There are plug and play options. I have a Hydra on my V3.
