anyone in this forum ever built up a 2008 - 2011 N/A Subaru Impreza 2.5i for an autocross within the stock class?

A buddy of mine runs an older RS (san turbo). He told me he likes the N/A power band as it is more linear vs turbo.

Over the years he has done the mods and upgrades. Does very well to be honest.

I can't imagine it would be that difficult to set up in stock.

  • Cat back (or is it axle-back for stock?)
  • camber bolts if Subaru allows it
  • high flow (drop in) air-filters in stock airbox
  • Figure out a good rear bar (new allowance this year)
  • OEM size/offset lightweight wheels
  • Konis/Ohlins/shock du jour

I have a bug eye bodied NA impreza that I hillclimb and autocross.

The biggest difference being the rear suspension. They can be competitive regionally, but they excel in tighter/small courses. The biggest challenge is the latest body style is a little hefty for the power the car puts out. You can still have fun and be fairly competitive, but don't expect to beat the world with the car.
