Just talked to Jim and they hit a deer on the highway towing to the Glen to race this weekend. Everyone is ok (as is the trailer and racecar), but the tow vehicle may or may not be able to be repaired in short order, so they may be looking for a way to get the trailer and car back down south in the next week or so (TBD). Anyhow, figured I'd just put some feelers out in case anyone is coming south from upstate NY in the next week or so and could do a tow. Normally I'd go get it, but as luck would have it my wife and kids will have "my" tow rig at the beach for 2 weeks starting tomorrow
Anyhow, if anyone may be able to help out, let me know and I'll put you in touch with Jim to arrange logistics if they can't get their tow rig fixed quickly.
I am headed up there (Watkins Glen) this Thursday the 28th and coming down Sunday the 31st to DC (I live in Reston, VA). I won't be bringing a race car, just going up to crew for the weekend, so I could bring the truck and trailer depending on logistics.
If someone brings it part way I can help get it from Harrisburg to DC. 2-5/16" Ball.

If nothing else, Josh, I have a friend in upstate w/ a truck who would bring it back next weekend for im sure a very reasonable fee (would stay w/ me when in DC). I saw your call earlier but wasnt able to pick up. Let's touch base tomorrow.
Cool....I linked Jim to this thread so will let them figure it out overall, since I'm not there. They're able to leave the car up there with Mike (in Rochester), but I need the trailer back for STPR rally in 2 weeks - hence my interest in making it easier for them to get it back. But if they leave the car there they can tow the trailer back with damn near anything I guess. They have two more days or racing first though.
I was just calling you earlier to see how the car is going. Wife and girls are going to the beach tomorrow for 3 weeks so I'll be around if you need any help. Or come over and we can do some cosmetics ;)

My friend traded his truck for a car last fall. Sorry Josh and Jim.
