So the muffler on my CRX rusted through and broke off. Placed an order with advance auto for a stock replacement from Bosal. Muffler arrived and there is a support bracket between the muffler and input pipe that is not welded to the pipe. Its welded to the muffler but is dangling below the pipe, not connected. The stock muffler has a support bracket in the same place that connects the pipe and muffler, the photo for the bosal shows there is a welded bracket connecting the two but the one I receive is just dangling. So I took it back to advance, they agreed it was defective and ordered a new one (ships directly from bosal). I get the new one today and its the same thing, bracket dangling, not connected to the pipe. They say all they can do is order a new one. Im sure they have a whole bin of these at the the warehouse that are the same way.

I try to contact Bosal directly but that is nearly impossible. They are some huge multinational with no way to actually talk to someone. So now I have to cut dangling bracket off and weld in some support between the muffler and pipe. So frustrating. I shouldn't have to do this.

take it back and buy a different brand... Still must be several options for a CRX..
