I just changed my end links to a stiffer setting, but all I did was move the end links up three hole settings.  Now I am reading that I should have had the ride height level and that I should have had easier play placing the end links.

I don't have a lift, so the Car will have to be on jack stands, at least in the front to get it at ride height.

Am I all wet with this, or will I really screw up my front suspension.

Thanks

Confused mustang guy

Do you have adjustable end links?

Either way, the idea is that if you tighten while in the air, you're inducing preload or possibly even pre-twist into the bar and therefore into your suspension.

It's fine to assemble it and get everything started in the air, but you want to tighten it down when the car is sitting level.

You should adjust your end links so they're slightly loose on both sides when the car is level, then give them both an even amount of tightening so you don't listen to them rattle, just like a 16th of a turn sorta thing.

If you don't have adjustable end links, and your links are ball joint ends, none of this really matters, as it'll set fine when it's set down.
