I'm heading out to bonneville right now. Anyone know any GRM'ers running cars? Alfadriver?

I am not personally out there, but our car is- it's a Yellow Spider.

As far as I can tell, the team is very, very small this year- but the car is running pretty well.

I do wish I were there, though- warm and the salt is very good- first run was 229 and change. And that was running a little low on boost and too rich.

Keith Tanner mentioned going. Look for a cool Miata, he won't be far from it.

Got an update this morning- early run netted a 231mph run, and that breaks the G/BFMS record of 226, and they are in impound. Certainly good news.

The overall goal this week is to raise the G/BGMS record from 230 to 240, but that will be challenging since he can't tune the computer (long story)...

I was there on Sunday, but I was driving the big black M5 monster. Just got back about an hour ago. I'll have pictures on Thursday or Friday (long story) and I'll put up some impressions soon. Didn't notice an Alfa, but I had both my eyes rolling around independently by the end of the day due to trying to look at everything at once...

Thursday update

The Monday back up run failed- in the first mile, both ignition systems failed, so not much happened.

But that got fixed, and the team went back out to re-set a record- 233.8 and that was backed up the next morning with a head wind at 230.6, so the car has re-set it's own G/FBMS record to 232.215 (it was 225 and change).

Still have some boost issues- which he's pretty confident he's figured out what it was, and it's running rich at 9.5-10:1- so with the fuel pressure drop, and the boost fix, we think it will run right today.

So I'll find out later today if 240 is possible.
