Thoughts on this? Looking to improve my autocross. I've modded the car, now I need to mod the driver. Ive plateau'd.

Took it a long time ago and it was helpful.  The most important thing I learned, and it took hitting me over the head with it repeatedly, was LOOK AHEAD - past the next apex.

That's good to know. Although now I am saying they only have East Coast classes. So now I need to find some thing on the West Coast

I took it years ago. I learned some things. Honestly, I think I had a hard time incorporating them into my driving.

I knew someone who did it years (and years and years) ago and he glowed that it improved his driving so much he had to increment his car number by one.

I did one over a decade ago and it's well worth it. Looking ahead is the starting point, but then you'll get heavily into the traction/friction circle and how trail braking, left foot braking and line cam all affect it. Combined with enough seat time to get a feel for the difference of the applied learning. I went from a mid pack AS driver (though I was in an STI on stock rubber, or azenis, class leaders were on HoHos or V710s) in 11-14 classes most of the time, to never placing below 5th in class with the same setup, and I snuck onto the podium more than once.

My advice would be to make sure your tires don't delaminate from heat before going, as you'll be getting run after run after run after run.

I did one a long time back and enjoyed the class greatly.  It really helped lower my times and I had a great time.

I started autocross in 2018 and did an excellent school with our local club (Martin Sports Car Club) the following spring. In January 2020 I did the Starting Line school.

I would sign up tomorrow if I had the opportunity. I need to find a half second...
