I need an oil catch can for the TR4. Best space is the old battery tray which means square/rectangle 1 qt catch can. Something like this although I'm not sure what's going with some of this plumbing - oil overflow tube looks open to the ground (a no no) - vent to catch can is off the fuel pump port above the oil overflow tube.

There are a bunch of Chinese and old Nascar ones cheap enough on eBay. That hose connects to where the fuel pump use to be. I assume it is to relieve crankcase pressure from the lower end.
I keep seeing Harrison type A/C accumulators as perfect round catch cans. They're expressly designed to capture liquids and only let gases pass, and they're found in practically all GM products a lot of SAABs and Volvos too.
Should probably fit in the battery tray area.

probably - just not sure why no hose from the oil overflow tube which I would think does the same thing

I found some aluminum drinking bottles on clearance somewhere years ago. They are great catch cans. All I had to do was drill a hole and fab up a mount.
