I've decided that I want to take an engine apart for fun since I've never had a chance to do any real engine work on anything bigger than a weed whacker and I'm running out of ways to combat winter cabin fever.

So if anyone local has an engine laying around that has been blown up or otherwise rendered useless I'll take it off your hands and put it to good educational use.

Might want to post up on the Waterford Hills forum. Someone there is surely trying to get rid of an engine.

Also post on the Xceedspeed facebook group. Lots of people there with lots of car junk sitting around.

You could try the Detroit region SCCA site too.

As much fun as that would be, my idea is to make this mess in my basement. Where it's warm.

Yeah, it was 30 below this morning. Outdoor engine disassembly sounds less than fun.

And thanks for all the suggestions, folks.
