it sounds like the hybrid battery isn't charging at all. Anyone know these cars well? For $3K and 54K miles it might ,or might not be a bargain.
That's a dirty interior of only 54k miles! But, its also a dirty yard so...some people?
As you know, I speak Prius pretty fluently but not Insight at all. Generally, these Insights are seen as "no as good as a Prius" but $3k?
A 2010 with only 54k miles has to retail north of $10k. Lots of room to recoupe, if your cool with that kind of investment toward a flip, it can't be that bad a deal. There must be some Insight knowledge out there on the internet.
EDIT: given the level of trash in the yard, my guess is critters. Do you want to be in the business of tracing wires on a hybrid car to find where the rodents were snacking?

Not cheap but not overpriced, just plain ole current market price...but in Saline for $3,800 asking price. It has every option but leather. Not sure why the aftermarket wheels. Maybe just to be fancy. Seller's profile looks genuine.
I think I have mentioned this before in other threads but I have a buddy who is a used car dealer that almost exclusively does hybrids.
He says that the Honda batteries all fail like clockwork compared to the Toyotas and that the electric drive system isn't as refined. He stopped pursuing these at auctions because they generated a lot of complaints from customers that the 2g and 3g Priii did not.
I guess they are decent enough cars when everything is working but there's really no objective reason to pursue one over a Prius. YMMV.
If staying with Insight, this one which is 3 years newer and only 6k more miles but running for just $2k more seems better!
