I summon the hive: my 07 RDX is having an intermittent problem where the wipers won't turn off or won't park properly. There is a TSB (229416) out for it, and I'm curious what info there is on this problem. My Google-fu only brings up the TSB #, no real info on what the common repair is.
I've checked fuses, and they're ok. I've looked for a wiper relay and cannot find one. I know the wipers are controlled by a body computer, so I wonder if the relay is built into that. these things have issues in other areas of relays sticking and I'm really hoping that's the case here.
Thanks in advance!
wiper motor replacement, or more accurately replacing the top plate of the wiper motor with an updated part. seems to be linked to cold weather.

That's the same thing GM did in the 90's. Is Honda that far behind? lol
I realize I've been gone a while now... didn't even know this was a thing.

When the windshield wipers are turned off, they intermittently do not park at the correct location at the bottom of the windshield, or they continue to run.
The symptom is usually more noticeable in colder weather; however, it is difficult to reproduce. If you have a vehicle that reportedly has this symptom, replace the windshield wiper motor cover.
PROBABLE CAUSE
The windshield wiper motor cover is faulty.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
Replace the windshield wiper motor cover.
PARTS INFORMATION
Wiper Motor Cover Plate: P/N 76505-SWA-305"
I looked it up as well and everything nealsmo posted is correct. The fix is to replace the wiper motor cover.
See, this is why GRM is my favorite place on the internet. You guys rock! Thanks!!!
