Opportunity to pick up a project in California. While it is a smoking deal for a local, it might still be a good deal I I could get the whole mess shipped to Michigan somehow. Picture a bare MGB body tub in primer with all the bits to convert to a V6, and a room full of parts.
No idea who to even call for such a thing. Mayflower Moving company seems more apropos to this task than the car carriers.
Any experience out there?
Not sure if these guys go east-west, but try Four Seasons Auto Transport, St. Johnsbury VT, 802-751-0900
If the tub is in primer, I assume it's rust free?
I've never had a car shipped, but completely approve of the idea! Especially with the V6 power plant.

Looked at u ship. Kindaa skethy concept cause you have no idea who you are dealing with or whem it will get delivered.
uship is really sketchy if you use the dead lowest bidder most of the time. But the big guys with decent reputations also bid on things there and if you can stomach the prices you get what you pay for.
Had to chosse between "Vehicle" or "Junk" in the load description. Went with "Junk" and added a bunch of pictures.
Uship suck. $2200 to ship a small car was highest bid. Lowest was $1375 <- company has lousy reviews. Ended up not buying the car.
Does ABF do a pack and ship? One of the big companies does something similar to PODS.
Try Packrat. I had them move the all stuff from my two car garage and shed to my new house a short time ago. I was WAY over the weight limit and they didn't say anything. The Packrat container is mostly steel (except for the wooden floor) and has lots of tie down point. I'm reasonably sure the 8x8x16 version would handle a car with no problems.
i did that once years ago. basically i posted on the areas car club web sites and found a guy with a truck and trailer that was out of work. i picked up his expenses and threw in a few hundred. worked out great.
