I'm also in Houston-ish. I'm on the north side of town though my utility in checking out a diesel truck might be questionable. I'm willing to crawl around and poke at things and make worried faces if needed.

Not sure how much assistance the worried faces will offer.

I could use a go-between in Pasadena, TX to pick up a water pump that an e-vil-bay seller won't ship and toss it in a box my direction if someone had some time....
