Apparently this is local to me, just in case someone wants me to check it out. NMNA.

My son needs a car. I bet he'd like this. I bet his girlfriend would like it. I'm not going to tell him about it.

Yeah, this thing has bad decisions written all over it.
it doesn't really fit the budget, but I think it would work as an 'arrive and drive' lemons car.
If you didn't want this when you were in high school - lame. If you don't want this now - still lame.
Strangely similar out of West Virginia

In reply to bravenrace:
These days, if he drove that to school some limp wristed easily frightened nimby would call the cops and get suspended.

Me too.
There is the Aplina B7.
I worked for a guy in 1987 who had this exact car. Same color but w/o the side stripes.
Damn sweet.
It had these awesome seats too:
I would have to get a set of goggles and a leather helmet to drive it. And maybe let my beard fill in....
Wonder if it would be profitable to actually use it as a Hearse? There's a guy not far from here that stays quite busy with his motorcycle Hearse set up. This one might appeal to a lot of the military veterans.

Except he drove a Sherman tank in that movie (Kelly's Heroes).
The OP is not what I was expecting either. However, it's more awesome than I could have hoped for. Gun barrels made from PVC pipe = genius.
