Hi ,

I have heard people mention Fastenal store to store shipping to move pallets of used parts fro  Fastenal store to your local Fastenal  store....

Anyone use them ?  how were the prices and service  and did they seem to care about your shipment ?

Thanks for your thoughts

I got a factory brush guard shipped to me via fastenal. They are slower than UPS and FedEx, but also cheaper. You also have to go to them to pick it up. Might also want to look into Grayhound

I tried, but they do not ship exterior (finished) body parts. I had a 1/4 panel and door to ship and they wouldn't even quote on it. I guess it's for liability reasons.

I've used it to ship an engine, trans, and handful of other parts from south central Indiana to Atlanta and it was just a hair over $200 which was the cheapest i found. I just fit everything on one pallet, made sure it was all strapped down and nothing could move then took it to my fastenal, they unloaded it with a fork lift and it made it to Atlanta around 6 days later. It was all pretty easy, i think shipping could be paid for on either end but that might not be right.

This is the pallet when i loaded into my truck before taking it to fastenal. you dont have to do anything fancy as long as everything is good and secure.

Yes, I have shipped and received karts. They started to up the pricing recently, so I started using uship.

Greyhound is pretty cheap, but the last time I tried they wouldnt take anything unboxed.  If Fastenal will accept pallets that is great news, even if it is pricier.

Trigun, what is "uship"?

In reply to ManhattanM (fka NY535iManual) :

https://www.uship.com/ It's like the Ebay of getting shipping qoutes where people can bid. It's going to probably be a little more, but it's less fuss.

I used Fastenal to ship a complete, assembled FSAE car plus spares.  I got a big pallet, put the car on it, and enclosed it in a wooden box.  It was roughly 10'x4'x3'.   I think it was about $400 to ship it from WV to AL.

are there other companies like Fastenal that do this ?

there are 1000s of Big Rigs going between corporate wherehouses and then the local shops everyday ,

I have used them and use grayhound for finished body panels.
