Picked up a new alternator that is the perfect dimensions for my needs. Looks to be an OBD1 Honda civic unit .Google has given me nothing. I made the mistake of searching the honda-tech.com forums and all I found was yellow wire to blue wire type stuff. I need to know the functions of the pins. I am used to bosch style units that simply require an exciter wire.

I am replacing a generator in a very limited space, This unit fits well and for what I paid (a beer) I cant go wrong.

If anyone has the info someone on GRM will right?

Don't go looking up Honda alternators, you need to look up the specific alternator. Likely it's a Nipondenso, though there were a few others. It's the same alternator as sits on many Toyotas, some Fords, Nissans, Mazdas, etc.

That's the way I've found the pinouts.
