Thank you for an incredibly useful addition to this thread! Comparing a $5200 forced induction setup to a $500 tuner is a GREAT comparison!!!!!!

How could I not come up with this amazing thought process on my own!!

Or maybe it's I'll take the $5000 price difference between the two options to address the suspension/wheel/tire setup.

I used it on my co-driver's 09 NC miata prepped for STR with mixed results. Initial tune (was less than a month after it came out for the NC) had issues with the throttle mapping causing 2nd gear shut downs during dyno pulls. Made decent power on 5th gear pulls. Good top end all the way up to redline.

My main beef with it is the lack of development that has been done on the definition files. Some tables are defined. Some of those tables have the axes labeled, some don't. Tried adjusting the rev limit. There were 3 tables/cals. Not labeled. Set them all to 8000. Rev limit was still at 7500. We went back to EcuTek that the car owner had already bought. Truthfully, I didn't spend as much time tinkering with it as I could have. I liked the open source aspect of it and the ability to change things myself, however, its not actually developed to the level I expected. Too many unknowns/undefined tables. From working with both other aftermarket tuning products and OEM TCM software, it's hard to know what other tables or calibrations you might want to change unless you understand all of them and what they do.

Hopefully it is being continuously improved and perhaps the 06's are better defined, but as they say YMMV.
