No thanks. I've had a free car, it was (is) rather expensive. 
Free cars are expensive cars, that is true.
My free Volvo 850 Turbo was pretty cheap to own, aside from the time my dad took it upon himself to bring the car in to a shop to have the oxygen sensors replaced and got gouged for $600. Not counting that incident, I probably had less than $500 in it altogether and got a good 2-3 years and almost 50k miles out of the car.

There is no such thing as a free car.
My mother had a free Daewoo. She drove it for 4 years, I got rear ended in it and the insurance company paid her $1800.

If you were out in prison you may have been more popular.
Go offroading, beat it up real good, scrap it and walk away knowing it went out like a viking and you have a couple hundred bucks and a lesson learned about cars. Oh and keep an emblem as a memento, I have tons saved over the years haha
