Yup. It's a large dealership. I'm expecting auction prices to go up to $1.00 less than retail because people are stoopid. But I'm hoping I can snag a deal. If anyone is going, shoot me a PM. Maybe we can do lunch?

The auction is not at the corner of Linden Rd and Corunna Rd. It is at the corner of Flushing Rd and Pierson Rd, 1415 E Pieson Rd Flushing MI. This is the auctioneers website

I see they took all the worthwhile stuff to the new store. After a quick glance, I didn't see any equipment on that list that's not 20 years old. I still enjoy going to those auctions anyway, to watch the guys bidding the Rotunda parts washer up to 20% over new price.

There's a few things I'm interested in, but I do expect to come home empty-handed. It seems every auction I've been to in the last 15 years, the prices go to within a few percent of new retail for something that is well used.

I see this happen a lot too. Crazy.

But if you can stick around until the end, most people have left, everyone's tired -especially the auctioneers and prices are crazy good. The last dealer auction I went to sold a wall of brand new hoods in the body shop (probably 10 hoods or more) for $20.

Sure wish this one was closer...

I would want to check it out but I don't live in Michigan.

+1 A local dealer folded and I went to look for some equipment. His stuff was in worse shape than mine, and there were bidding wars going on. Gotta love the auction spirit.
