So my kids and I like watching the Ken Block gymkhana shorts.
On youtube I came across a TV show (I guess) that is called Octane Academy and Ken Block is part of it.
I've only watched a few episodes, but it appears some famous drivers are trying to grow amateurs into a top gun winner. The style of the show is of course reality, elimination based fodder. Kind of like Dancing With The Stars in cars on a track.
Has anyone else watched it? It seems a little g........a.......y...... after watching a few episodes.
In truth, most reality shows are a bit "light in the loafers".
No but my buddy is on there, I didn't realize it was on YouTube! I'm gonna have to check it out now.
FWIW it has two seasons. I haven't watched it, as I didn't know it was available online.
Maybe I haven't given it enough of a chance yet.
I watched season 2 after this thread, not too bad, better than a lot of crap on TV, wide variety of challenges, interesting pro drivers.
Aussiesmg- I will go back and watch more of it then.
I watched two episodes, I'm not sure what season they were from. One was a "finals" round I think. A guy with rallycross and autocross experience dominated the other newbs in the group.
In another one Block took his drivers to face his personal trainer in a ring- a champion UFC fighter! That was interesting.
