Is it me or are the fox announcers getting the Jeff Gordon incident completely wrong.
The Mazda car ran the red at pit out so should never have been there. Jeff was following the car in front of him on the restart with plenty of room. Jeff is on line and has committed to the corner leaving plenty of space to the car in front of him and the Mazda just pulls in from the left in front of him on to the racing line. Jeff locks them up and punts the Mazda and keeps on trucking. What does that have to do with cold tires and more importantly how does Jeff have any blame for the contact.
The anouncets keep harping on the cold tires on Jeff's car. They obviously now have to stick to there story and are trying to make drama out of nothing but it irritates me when they get basic things like this wrong. Why can't they just say the Mazda driver was a complete idiot.
Been watching since the start. I agree with dean1484 about the Jeff Gordon thing and OMG, the commercials on FoxSports are terrible, terrible, terrible. I will pause the race, wait a few minutes then fast forward that crap
I wonder when they change announcers. I am getting sick of this bunch. Way to much talk and very little actual information.
The drag race out of the pit stalls with two prototypes they start to hype that and it immediately turns out they are probably ten car lengths apart. They are doing a great job of making them selves look stupid.
The neon flashing lights on the Audi in pit road is interesting. I hope that is not a styling que that makes it to street cars.
Mother of pearl the GT cars are sexy. I haven't wanted to hang up car posters so badly since the late 80's.
Watching via Imsa TV. Riding along with the #10 Cadillac. The pace of the thing is outstanding, making the GTLM cars look slow as balls.
Watching one on cable and using the fox sports app on the other tv to watch the in-camera view. Great coverage
I just looked at the weather radar for Daytona and they are saying rain starting at about 7:40 pm so the whole race dynamic is going to change in about 40 minutes
The difference in engine sounds from the in car camera's is way cool. Makes the hair stand up on your neck cool.
And it might just be comcast (berkeley comcast btw) why can i only get about 6-10sec of coverage on the Mazda on board before it freezes?
