Just doomscrolling on one of the time waster apps and come across this:
Curiosity got the better of me and I click the link which brought me here. Anybody have an idea what what this is all about? Seems pretty scammy to me (although what could you expect from class action specific lawyers)
reading into the firm a little more they seem famous for frivolous class action lawsuits. Scumbags
Nice, that might cover a new set of triple Webers for my Z.
If you're a pond-scum frivolous litigator, you may be entitled to having your teeth readjusted by a mallet.
Assbags.

What are the odds they own the rights to that photo they used...

In reply to Sk1dmark (Forum Supporter) :
Bots scrape the web, and through cookies and other internet sorcery they can see where you hang out and (kinda) what you are talking about.
Because of this, it is fairly common to get ads like this on your scrolling adventures.
Its a robot saying "oooo. Lets see if we can hook a sucker."
They scrape the web for small business websites that are not accessible to those with screen readers etc. pretty common slime lawyer tactic. I'm guessing the admins have been served and are dealing with the headache already. The offer to settle is usually just under the cost of fighting it in court. They generally have one or two people who are the "clients" who claim standing.
*I'm not a lawyer, just a curious dude.
I just got the same ad and came to also say what the berk?!?
Can GRM lay a smack down on then for using their photo? Berk these clowns!
I'll just go on record and say if anyone files under the name Steve Jones, that's a dick move, but funny.
It's not me though, I filed under Frenchy
GRM uses YouTube embeds for videos so I'm really curious about what they could be talking about...

I just want to say, as a disabled veteran and person who uses internet accessibility software, and a prior Certified Disability Management Specialist, that not only is GRM's site accessible, but that I'd also be happy to be an expert witness.

Anyone know the difference between a lawyer and a catfish?
One is a scum sucking bottom feeder, the other is a fish.
Who? These guys?

A fact is going viral that this firm is basically what I would deem to be a "Frivolous Suit" factory. On some of the stocks which they, like ambulance chasers, have been illegally soliciting without sufficient evidence is Chembio Diagnostics, Inc. I purchased, albeit small, approximately 700 shares of the stock under the exact same conditions that this firm has prematurely deemed "fraudulent misrepresentations". This is a common ploy of such firms. Their intention is to pressure the company to cave-in to settlement pressure (Cost/Benefit Analysis). Investors beware that this is a form of committing fraud upon the court. Over the past 5 years it has been a method to commit what most law makers now see as a means to commit theft and grand larceny by the attorneys by using the federal court system. In a clever and concerted effort by lobbying state and federal lawmakers this firm is one of many that, when challenged in a counter-suit for fraud that includes the attorneys themselves , is able to fraudulently invoke "attorney -immunity". This firm will claim like others that that they can legally make false statements in court and in pleadings so long as it is in their role of acting as an attorney for the client(s). You investors who fall for their solicitation are the "clients" but their actions are no different that engaging in theft, grand larceny, and racketeering.

I assumed it was one of those crawlers that just inserts a webpage from your browsing history, like some google ads do.
Looks like they are really going after Facebook.

Calise et. al. v. Facebook, Inc., Case No. 4:21CV6186 (N.D. Cal.)
That would be the Federal District Court in San Francisco.

So can people file a claim against *their* scam ads? Is there anything scam ad recipients or 'potential claimants' could do that would be disruptive?
I see an ad in my FB feed today that says "Are you entitled to compensation from Grassroots Motorsports?" and I was like "Yeah, dude, every other Tuesday."
Me watching scumbag law firm attack Facebook:
They bought an ad to show me their website, too. No idea what it's about--sure seems like a frivolous lawsuit factory hoping to get lucky.
IIRC we have a Facebook pixel on the site, but so does everything else on the Internet, and our privacy page reflects that.
We haven't heard anything from them, and since they're just "investigating" a suit, my guess is we likely never will.
In reply to Tom Suddard :
Well that's good to know!
If the $2500 was challenge budget exempt, I'd be tempted by this bullE36 M3, but I won't even bother Tom with an email to confirm that it wouldn't be.
It says it's a video privacy violation.. Tom, have you been stealing my onlyfans content?!
