Since it's April 17, 2014, the 50th anniversary of the official introduction of the Mustang, I thought that it would be appropriate to post these photos, taken in 1970, 1983, 2001 and 2013. I owned the gold car for four years and the white fastback for seven. I haven't seen the '66 coupe since 1972, but it caused an awful lot of trouble in my life, and is probably the reason that I hang out here. My daughter's convertible is an original '65 and may be the oldest of them all.
Took long enough but this is my first... an '05 GT, love this car.
Many more to come.
Happy 50th Mustang!!
I went to Charlotte for the 30th.... drove my 70 Super Cobra Jet 428 Mach1 from the Poconos. I had just finished the restoration in January. We averaged 13mpg on the way down, 12 on the way back.

I will always come back to a Mustang...whether it's 5 years...10...whatever.
I also restored one of the pedal cars to match my best friends Springtime Yellow convertible.
Happy 50th Mustang!
50 years of mustang, 25 years of Miata, birthdays all around! And they have all been around longer than me
I've owned a '73 vert with a 351C, a '73 vert with a 302, a '78 fastback, an '85 GT, and now a '65 fastback. The only one I have a digpic of is the '65. Its a beater, but that's the way I like it! Happy 50th, Mustang.
there are a few celebrations going on around here...
(FWIW, during lunch, there's a "bring your mustang to work" day at World Headquarters)
As a kid I built every plastic model I could find of the Shelby fastbacks '66-'68. I drew pictures, I collected posters...I knew one day I would own one.
When the S197s came out I was in the market for a new DD and decided it was close enough in spirit that I couldn't pass it up. First new car I ever owned, first Mustang, first car autocrossed, and first real performance car:
And although it's MY first, ponies do seem to run in the family:

How much would a 64-68 fastback or convertible go for these days? Not a show car, but a "reliable" Sunday cruiser? The Fiancee has decided that she loves these cars.
Mustangs? We've had a few....
Here is my future wife taking delivery of her brand-new 4-banger 87 at Varsity Ford:
My first one was a 95 GT in Laser Red:
Then I started getting serious. This Dark Canyon Red 89 LX got Edelbrock heads, Konis and a bunch of other stuff:
Then came "Old Smokey", another 89. This one got a 5-lug conversion, P heads, more suspension work, and so on:
Finally, this convertible automatic 95 GT a couple of years ago. It looked nice.....
I miss the '13 GT Track pack car. I hope to get a 2016/17 GT in a few years once I pay off the DD. Then I'll just use it as a weekend/occasional track car, instead of having a dedicated track car.
First car.
Identical to the last car that my dad took on a test drive with me. (dad passed away when I was 12) I grew up helping to restore a '68 mustang with my dad.
Many friends still call me MustangBoy because of this car.
Its been in storage a few years now. I miss driving it.
Owned it for 12 years now.

Mine's a 1994, first car when I turned 16. 11 years later I still have it but it just sleeps in my grandma's garage under a cover. 260 miles since August of 2008!
Apparently I never took pictures with the new wheels. It now sits on 18x9 and 18x10 Saleen wheels. Also, no more supercharger.
My first car was a Mustang...1969 Shelby! Followed by a 68 coupe and then a 69 convertible which I still own.
Soon after I bought a 74 which despite all naysayers was a great car and still does an occasional run with the current owner.
My older brother bought a new 66 convertible and was my introduction with a cool 3rd grade teacher in a 68 fastback.
My other brother is currently in Charlotte with his 70 convertible for the 50th celebration.
Now, after owning 60 odd Mustangs, I am more involved than ever. Currently 17 Mustangs in various states are all in the stable.
Happy Birthday Mustang!!

I bought a '65 coupe back when I was in high school......haven't ventured back to them since.
I've been trying to talk the neighbor out of his fastback that is dissassembled and tucked away in the back corner of his big 4Wx3D garage
Here is the only one I have at the moment. I've had a couple others.
I've been a Mustang fanatic since I was about 13. It definitely runs in the family.
I've owned a 94 LX, 94 GT, 96 GT convertible, and a 2000 GT.
The 2000 was definitely my favorite, but after getting a drive in a new Boss 302, I'm afraid that's what my new Mustang goal is going to be in a few years.
Here's a pic of me leading a 911 at Summit.

My first car, bought it off of my dad in '02. I was with him when he bought it in '95, after we spent over a year looking for the right one.
Currently have a love/ hate relationship with it, but happy 50th, Mustang!
Not as many as some. I had a 94 GT from 94 to 01, at various times it had a 302, 351, stock, GT40 and Edelbrock heads, NA & Supercharged, various different suspension set ups.
Then came this 13 V6 Vert
Followed by a '14 Vert. We wanted to get a new S550, but we're taking a year off from Mustangs due to our 13 year old daughter no longer fitting in one. once she's out of middle school we'll be back to another.

I have had the pleasure of renting a few late-model Mustangs, have yet to own one. Maybe someday! Happy Birthday Mustang!
My parents met in 1967 and my mom had a green one and dad had a yellow one. Here is a shot from their wedding in 1969 with mom's car loaded to the gills about to drive from Savannah to Minnesota.

Nah, that's how mom rolled everyday. hellaflush.
I'm guessing that the trailer was built from the back half of a pickup.
