I would actually love to see a mustang II build in the mag. My favorite of all time would be a 67 fastback, one of the most beautiful cars of all time.

They have Elantra Club show's
I tried so hard not to troll this thread but it just wouldn't go away. Actually, I thought I showed some good restraint with what I posted given my dislike for the blue oval That said there are many things I like about some of the various Mustangs over the years, especially the sound. As much as I would love too, I just can't hate on the Mustang. Now Mustang guy...yeah that's a different story

A mustang II build would be awesome. It gets my vote.
That or a non v8 foxbody
New V6 or Mustang II for sure. On second thought, make it the Mustang II. Those can be turned into a VERY sweet ride. A perfect platform.

We are a bit overdue for another Mustang project car and will be rectifying that sooner rather than later. I'm looking forward to it, as it's tough to beat V8 goodness!
Not my favorite by far, but I'd love to see you build a new V6 into a track car.
Especially if you throw a turbocharger or two on it!
Just be sure to replace the driveshaft before you go crazy on it.

My mom's first new car was a '65 Mustang 289/3-speed. People told her she was going to kill herself in that car it was so fast...
My mom's first car was a '65 GTO . Dad's first car was a '55 Chevy Bel air that was heavily modified.

Always loved the '65-'68 fastbacks, as classic as it gets. 400 horse SBF be fun. 351, 390... no wait, a 347 EFI stroker. Mandatory suspension mods for HPDE.
'05-'09 S197s renew that classic look. Powerplant is kinda limited tho these days compared to starting w/ a Coyote but I'd love to drop a 5.0 in my '05.
'11 and up Brembos, Track Packs, Bosses be a great starting point.
So many choices. So, the 'ol classic question: How much ya wanna spend?

My father bought one as soon as they came out with the 289. It was one of the first ones in the Pittsburgh area.
After a few years he decided he needed more power so he got this one with the 390 engine in it and then proceeded toput a bunch of go-fast parts one it.

There is so much awesomeness in your post! I'm guessing the GT 390 coupe is Presidential Blue. I've only seen a few ever. The Alfa is stunning. Even the tractor across the street is badass. Go Pop!
50 years ago my dad bought a blue 289 3 speed manual coupe when they came out. I bought a 66 coupe in the early 80's I still have. Currently building a 68 fastback for a customer with a 5.0, modern coil over suspension etc.
My coupe when I bought it. And with next door neighbors coupe, brothers van, & dads Monza.

Not sure if it was Presidential Blue but it had to be blue for my father to have it. My mother allowed my father to have any car he wanted as long as it was blue. He usually had some "hot rod" car, the one before the first Mustang was a Chrysler 300 with a hemi!
The Alfa was mine, I bought it when I graduated from college.
I missed an opportunity to buy a pretty beat 69 in about 1977. I would have just beaten it the rest of the way to death, probably. Favorites? Any fastback, and I include the 71-2-3 models that everybody else hates. No Mustang 2, Fox bodies really don't rock my world, but I know a guy with an SN95 (is that correct?) with the 5.0 and 5 speed. I'd buy that if he ever got rid of it. The 05 and up I like- I actually looked at a Laguna Seca last year until my wallet reached around and smacked me in the nuts.
