They're in good to excellent shape, and I have both seats as well as the rears. Black in color, manual adjustment. No rips or tears that I noticed in my quick analysis. A local craiglist search brought up nothing but complete trash.

I'm not much into video games and the car is getting lemons'ed/caged, but I don't know if I should throw them on Craigs or just trash them/make an office chair out of one... I am new to the e30 game, so this one is an unknown for me.

Also, full disclosure- I 'bought' this car from cmcgregor on here. He is an amazing human being who was generous enough with 'selling' the car to me. ANY money that I make on the car's unused contents will be passed along to him or used to improve the car in other ways, and I'd defer to his desires on that. I don't want anyone, especially him, to think I am trying to profit in any way from this. I just want to make sure I'm not being dumb and throwing something of value in the trash.

Thanks in advance.

Are they sport or comfort seats? The sports have the leg extensions and are worth selling, try r3vlimited.com

Regular comfort seats, not sports sadly.

Even with comfort seats, if they're in good condition there should be someone out there who will want them. I'd put them up for sale.

I have thought of getting E30 sport seats for my saab 900. I really dislike the lack of support the seats in that car have

Seats are hard to sell, but black seats are the easiest seats to sell. If there are no tears, then I'm sure a BMW guy would buy them.

Manual adjustment is usually preferred over electronic, since they are lighter and more prone to working.

At least that is how the e36 world is. They should be worth something.

The sport seats were about the only thing I liked about my E30. I have a set in my attic waiting for me to figure out what to put them in.

Since e30s are beginning to become collectable, Id say someone should want them

My experience with BMWs is that everybody wants sport seats and nobody wants comfort seats unless theirs are ugly/broken or they are taking out nicer Recaros or sport seats and just need to have something to send the car down the road.

You'll be able to sell them if they're presentable, but don't expect to get much.

This. I bought a full set of sport seats (front and rear) on R3V for $600 a few years ago. I'd think the comforts are worth at least $200 in good shape.

Comfort seats aren't worth nearly as much as Sport seats.

Like Tom mentioned, probably 1/3 in equal condition. Everyone wants the sports for the side and leg bolsters. Rear comfort/sports are the same. The only different in the rear is if it has the fold down center arm rest which. And then if you want a certain persons sub box, you can punch out the center panel and have surprisingly great sound in an E30 if you have a good set of components up front.

Sorry.

Thanks guys. I'll clean them up and take some pics tonight with a Best offer request and see what happens.

In reply to Tom_Spangler:

Wow... didn't realize they are going for that much now. I think I paid $200 for mine (fronts only; useable condition, but not perfect), but that was about 10 years ago when decent E30's were still pretty cheap.

I got some slightly ratty but serviceable black sports for $200 this past summer. I'd say ask for $100 obo and take anything north of $50.

They make excellent iRacing Simulation seats because they are more comfortable than your couch

Pretty sure I paid $40 for the set, but I drove all the way to Albany for them. R3v is probably your best bet, they have quite a few active members in New England. True to their name, they're quite comfortable.

As for profit-for better or for worse (for you!), it's your car now. Get whatever you can out of it. And let me know if you want some help with disassembly
