I'm also a big fan of a first-gen Neon color called Lapis Blue.
The Mazda RX7 Competition Yellow Pearl (J9) looked Great on my MGB. Really made it stand out! Three stage color.
Paint yours with a Yellow body with black windshield frame and black hard top. :0D
Vivid yellow. It was a one-year only special order color for 2002. Less than 300 were made. Still OEM, but special...
Also, build thread??

What are those colors?

I like your previous Orange Miata. I still think that could be a good color choice. Pic something bold ( to be seen) and stay away from the invisible colors of dark gray tones.
A picture found on the internet where Orange and Shocker are my favs.
Also Aurora Blue and Winning Blue as well as the Spirited Green:
How about just vinyl wrap the outside any color you like on that month and when you get bored with it rewrap it a different color... then you can just leave it red.
I vote for a bright color. Just looked through a few hundred pictures of cars at my last track day, the dark cars don't photograph as well. Even the white with bold graphics stood out more than the dark cars. My Sangria mustang pops in the right light. Not voting for red, I really wish mine was 2006 rental fleet light metallic blue.

I'm not THAT indecisive!! Haha!

If you could paint a car any color you want you'd pick brown? Really? :)

Anyone know what those colors are?
In reply to SV reX :
I believe the green is "Spirited Green Metallic" Paint code 36A and the blue is Eternal Blue Mica Paint code 45B.

Eternal Blue Mica sure has a lot of different looks.
Some pictures look like a deep blue, but some look like a matte gray

Proof that the 911 can successfully pull off any color.
Definitely just go for whatever you like best, enjoy it.
Personally, even though I've never owned one I'm partial to Blue miatas. Purple can be nice too.

I think someone had some photoshop fun with that specific Eternal Blue photo series. It's what I was hoping would be on our car when it arrived, but in person it never has that much life. It never looks grey in person (there was an earlier ND color that was grey with a little bit of blue, don't mistake them) but it's darker than that photo would imply.
Soul Red wouldn't suit an NB as much as it does an ND, as the NB is missing the sharp chines that really show off the metal. If you want good examples of bright colors on a car with a similar body shape and surface treatment to the NB, look at the first gen Elise. The ones with the round headlights. The later Elisesesses are more like an ND and while they have a killer palette, they don't suit the NB as much. I would personally be tempted by Lotus Magnetic Blue because I am a fan of unapologetic blues. FM's old car "Elvis" was Lotus Laser Blue and it worked pretty well.
Lexus Ultrasonic Blue would probably suit the car pretty well too.
What it normally looks like:
After the movie company prop department got it: They sprayed deoderant on the flat surfaces to kill the shine.

Yeah do purple. I think I want my 99 to be the same, so I'd appreciate you being the guinea pig
