Does anyone know if there are junkyard available injectors that would be an upgrade over the stock ones in the SN95 Mustang with the 5.0?  Want to do some work with my son on his car.  We want to do exhaust, computer, injectors. I've got the computer and exhaust, but don't know what injectors to be looking out for.  Car already has CAI on it, and I've got an intake manifold for it too, but that'll be the next set up upgrades.

These are your standard 14 mm o-ring, 60 mm seat to seat distance injector used in a lot of American and German engines. How much horsepower are you trying to support?

Don't have a specific number in mind.  Whatever the engine will wind up making with the upgrades.  I'm guessing something around 240hp, since it was 215 stock?

I replied to your e mail.  You will want 24 lb injectors for that J4J1 computer.  It will use your same mass air meter.  The computer is coded to run larger injectors.

The Ford blue top injectors are 24lb.

Bosch 24 lb EV1 and EV6 connectors were used by GM, BMW, Ford and others.  You'd have to pull an injector and check each part number.....  I'm sure there are some at your local yard, finding a match though could be hard.

You would need EV6 or EV1 to Uscar adapters for some of the injectors too....  I think the older SNs are EV1 connectors and new Fords EV6....

Thanks Anthony!  What cars ran the Ford blue top injectors?  Sorry, but I'm a bit confused on the connectors and adapters.  So are you saying some of the Ford blue tops wouldn't directly fit into the Mustang?  What am I checking part numbers against?  Sorry...I'm still a newbie at this stuff.

Brown tops from a thunderbird super coup will be 34 or 35 lbs and are a plug and play in terms of the connectors and I think the Ohms are the same as well.

I'm pretty sure those are 36 and the car would be really rich on them.

I was assuming by upgrade he was looking for bigger ones.

Hah, I sent out 8 of these in the GRM New Year's box this past round. They were orange, so I think they were stock sized, though.

What makes you think you will need larger injectors? Unless you are doing quite a bit to the engine, the end result may well be withing the flow capacity of the stock injectors, perhaps just staying open a bit longer.

Either way, junkyard injectors are a bad idea unless you send them out to be cleaned and flow tested, and you can do that with the ones out of your car.

It's an SN95 GT.  The stock 19# injectors are stressed at stock hp levels.  Klayman has a Cobra ECU for the car (plug and play), but needs 24# injectors for it.  Those will support exhaust mods, intake swaps, and other future mods.
