They've been advertising that show all though the Rolex. I'm actually looking very forward to ti.

Just how drunk are you? You know that rebel yell will be part of the show, right?

Repost from awhile back......doesn't look that good, but my solace is in the fact at least they're turning more than just left

The only thing that peaked my interest was when the dude reached threw the window and bitch slapped the other guy. I wonder what that was about. Just not enough to watch the show to find out.

An Audi wagon just won 10k on the rolling start road race. I desperately want to get my F100 on there... Only I would have to be a guest redneck driver and being a pickup I would look like I had crazy wheels in the back with all the oversteer.

Has there hasn't been a single American (redneck) car that hasn't spun/ locked up/ driven off the road or crahsed? I watched four episodes (back to back) last week and I didn't see a single redneck keep his E36 M3 together.

I've had two friends on there (both in S2000's) Eric won both of his first two heats but got beat on time by the Audi wagon that won the 10 grand. Dan easily won his first two heats while the "Pro-Street" sleds slid all over the track with their 300lb drivers in their shiny racing suits.. The 3rd heat is where they bring in the ringers. They brought out what looked like an American Iron AIX class car with a 150lb driver wearing very used looking helmet and suit. All the redneck-mobiles are pushing 500-600 hp, but the posers weigh in at 3500-4000lb or more. The ringers in the third round are generally in the 3,200lb range, with a screaming small block.

watch the blue Camaro ... that car is seriously fast

was at CMP with them a few weeks ago ... he (and his wife) were turning 1:42.xx's .... on street tires ..

talked to 2 of the drivers that had to run against him for the $$$ ... and he was only required to do one thing (well, other than win LOL ) and that was not to lap the imports ... the fastest of the imports was between 2 and 3 sec a lap slower than he was ...

note: the drivers that did win the $$$$$ ran against other "ass kickers" ....Kyle was the one they called on with the rednecks HAD to win

the host wasn't there for the event I attended, the rest of the "rednecks" were as nice as you could ever ask for ... and the cars were incredible

The idea is cool, but the show (mostly the host) are awful.......needs work, and a new host......

My friend at work told me about the wagon winning, so I watched an episode online at work through IMDB.

Actually, I tried to watch one. 5 minutes in I couldn't take the guy doing all the talking. But I did get to see the first two imports beat the redneck.

I actually enjoy that show. Funny, but yeah the host is annoying.

Loved the GTR episode.

Not a big fan. I'm redneckish, have American and foreign vehicles. Sometimes I root for the domestic, sometimes the import.

Has some good racing in it if you can tolerate Jon Reep's antics.

I don't take it too seriously now as I once did, I learned to view it as part comedy, part race show.... but I'm only in it for the cool cars foreign or domestic.

I've watched a few episodes. Seems fairly predictable. Basically, unless they have a guest driver, the "rednecks" always seem to push too hard and go off track at the end of turn 1, import driver cruises to victory, John Reep stomps around for a few minutes then hands over the cash.

An "imports v muscle" show is actually a decent concept, but the execution is terrible. I have to wonder if the "redneck" drivers are really that bad or they just throw in an off track every now and then on purpose to try to keep it interesting.
