We're about to launch our next e-newsletter, and there's some good content in there. While it's light on BMX stuff, it's still anther way to enjoy some GRM goodness. It's free, too.
You can sign up here.
Enjoy and thanks.
So everyone's getting it, right?
And very soon we'll be hosting some newsletter-only contests. What kind of prizes? Cool ones, of course.
Yes, they're sent via e-mail. Plus our message board members have been known to make regular appearances.
Found it, it goes to my 'promotions' box in GMAIL which I treat like a spam filter and never look at.
There is some promotion in it, but as always it's stuff from our world we hope will be of interest and value--just as in the magazine. There's also editorial content, sometimes cameos from forum members, alerts to event happenings (this is where you'll learn about things like our Rolex tickets being released for sale).
Bottom line, we try hard to make it interesting and a quality piece. Sorry if you caught a whiff of commerce--capitalism is all great on the Internet until someone fears writers will stop writing for free.

Just for Adrien, I'm going to ask Tom to add something extra special to the next one. Trust me, you're going to love it.

I appreciate that.
I may have come off a bit snarky, but I opened it and scrolled down. I saw a pic of Tommy's Trooper and it talked about tires. I clicked expecting a piece about how to choose tires, instead it went straight to the manufactures page. Then I saw a pic of an SVX. 'ooo' went my brain so I clicked it. Link back to the forum. 'Booo' went my brain. I got tuned off after that. I guess I'll go back and read in more detail until I get the next issue announcing I won the race deck flooring, plus an article on cheap hop ups for Boxsters and a Volvo C30 build :)

Sorry guys, back to the warehouse, Margie doesn't need the supplies today after all.

May be a dumb question- why not have those articles in the magazine. The one that people pay for?
I appreciate the newsletters, and I also appreciate that you have to advertise in them, so that the are not for free.
But it seems as if that's what the magazine is for- paying subscriptions and paying newstand prices and all.
Lots of places do just that, but I guess we just try to give people what we'd be interested in seeing, as well as provide a glimpse of what we do, hoping that people will be motivated to check us out further. Kind of the drug-dealer's approach: first taste is free.
Besides, a lot of our newsletter readers ARE subscribers.

I just signed up. Compared to all the other newsletters I get, this one will at least be informative. I will admit, paranoid Android pointed out he caught the tape numbers thread thanks to the newsletter, which swayed me somewhat this way. I might not have much of a life, but I still miss important threads from time to time.
