I read this thread all the way down to the end.....and I really really really!! was gonna tell you change the fuel filter!

Seen that kinda thing happen on a Cavvy I owned years ago....

good to see that it worked out with only a filter change- but if it starts throwing a "misfire" code from time to time, then it might be time to prepare yourself for the big decision of whether or not it's worth putting a fuel pump in it.
