Not looking to belabor the issue, but the leading edge has  rounded corners, and the are appropriate '80s graphics, and that is what I am looking for.

Sharp corners work better on some of the funky Japanese angled boxes of the day, but not on an American wagon with a body originally designed in the early 70s.

I tried adjusting the color to get brown tan and yellow

You are confusing the 80s with the 90s.  Mid 90s, at that.

... And that pastel theme went on through the early 90s.  I had a 91 Beretta that was flame red with a pink pinstripe (which I promptly removed)

My current 94 Fordzda Branger is calf-E36 M3 brown with mauve and lavender pixelated graphics.

Unfortunately, nothing about that is what I asked for.

And my car isn't a grey car built for a show in 2015,

The "Miami Vice" pastel thing started in the later 80s.  86 it showed up a little, but really 88-96 or so.

The 80s were fake woodgrain, browns, oranges, and tans.  Luxury stuff was deep rich tones like my 83 Celebrity which was two tone maroon with a gold pinstripe.

Yes, that is a 90s vehicle.   Not 80s.

Not on automobiles, and certainly not on desert racing vehicles.

Ok... clearly not welcome in this thread.  Good luck.

I wonder if you actually read my first post.   Or any of them.

Is the A-Team van a desert racing vehicle?   Or an off-road package put out by an OEM in the '80s?  Is it maroon with the accent colors I said I would use?

Reading comprehension matters.  Otherwise, we just end up with a mind-vomit of things that are totally unrelated to solving the issue at hand.

You asked for 80s graphics and posted a bunch of research on what you were thinking.  I posted pictures that represented my ideas with similar colors to yours (and others by the way) and you criticized my use of a gray vehicle.

You asked for 80s offroad/desert racer design ideas and posted a bunch of colors and research.  The fact that I posted some graphics that happened to be on a van or a gray car doesn't change the fact that they are 80s design ideas.  You can use van colors on a brown car.

Its fine that you don't like my ideas, but I did read your posts and gave my opinions.  Next time just ignore them but I don't appreciate being criticized and told that I have reading comprehension problems when I'm trying to help a fellow GRMer

You posted these photos, But then suddenly my idea that used the same colors (one in orange/yellow/red and one in brown/tan/yellow) are way off the mark and I'm derailing the thread because I can't read?

It is obvious my opinions aren't welcome and that is perfectly fine.  No one has to like my opinions but me.  Just don't be a dick about it.  I'm not mad, I just excuse myself from the discussion but you had to get a final jab in.  Not cool.

I’ve done this before. Do like mentioned where you print off a “coloring book” of pages of your car. Next, find a local high school art kid or tag artist and tell them you’ll pay $20 if they come up with an 80’s themed paint job that you like.

Tag artists are incredible, finding one, not so easy. Look for people with paint under the finger nails. And the first thing to mention, is that you’re not a cop.

When I think 80’s this comes to mind but it’s probably 90’s.

I've often thought of dropping a beater off somewhere with a sign that says "tag me" and seeing what happens.

I did this ^^^. City zoning regulations limited what I could do on a building or freestanding sign at my bike/skateboard store, but no ordinances on a semi trailer! The pic was taken about 15 years after the piece was originally painted and shortly after the pic was taken it was painted over with white so I could get rid of the trailer.

Replicate this (brand new!) Bell Bullitt helmet's graphics. You already have the maroon.

A 3/4 angle pic of the car (so you can see both the hood and sides) would be good for doing mockups on.
