I've never owned a car from this millenium. The newest car I currently own is a 1991.

So are we avg the one's currently owned or ever? Currently 72,79,86,88,92,93,96,02,98,91 = 19897 = 1989.7 do bikes count? if so add another 75= 1988.36

ever owned 19897+ 86+88+98+86+94+93+94+86+87 =37809=1989.9 add bikes in and you get another 96 = 1989.52

Kinda funny about the avg not really changing.

Currently owned for myself:
87 + 90 + 95 = 90.66

Factor in my wifes 2007 car and the currently owned household average is '94.75.

Of my three cars I have one with no airbag, another with one airbag and the third with two airbags.

A 4 cyl, a 5 cyl and a 6 cyl.

A big shout-out and thanks to njansenv on this board -- he went above and beyond to accomodate the sale of his 98 M3 sedan to me. Lots of work on his end to make it happen, culminating in an extra trip to pick up snow tires and wheels I had purchased in Toronto. The GRM spirit is alive and well north of the border. I'll post pics, but not until I have one of me driving it on a track or autox course.

Where's the blushing emoticon? I'm glad you love the car: I hope it treats you well! (I'll miss it... ) I'll get an email out to you today regarding the "other car."

WRT old daily's: my commuter is currently an '87 E30 that I just can't kill (thankfully), and my wifes is a '90. It's going to be hard to get her back into the 2003 Protege that we've lent her brother while he's in school.

The newest car I own is the farthest form ever being a streetable or valuable car...a 1997 Protege (field car...my avatar photo).

The cars (and bike) that are actually licensed all have historic tags (which means they are at least 25 years old).

There's not even anything in this millenium that I want bad enough to pay for it. Heck...most of the '90s are that way too (except for German stuff...).

Let's see, 1966, 1967, 1968 (I think), 1972, 1977, 1990, 1994, 2000, 2000, 2002. Plus the Seven, which is a big unknown. Ignoring that, we have 1983.6.

There's a fair range of technical sophistication too. One has a throttle cable made from a bicycle brake cable. Another has 8 drive-by-wire throttles. Specific outputs range from 16.9 wheel hp per liter to around 100. Engine capacity goes from 1298cc to 7200cc.

I still don't technically own a car. But of the two that are "mine" I average out to a 1996.5. And if you average out all of the ones in the family, we get to a 1999.4.
