What is the best online "marketplace" for second hand 1G Probe/MX6 parts? Is there a forum or maybe a Facebook group or something?

Reason I ask... A buddy that's about 5 years removed from being an F2T enthusiast was cleaning out his garage and gave me a box of mostly turbo stuff that he came across, since I now have a Capri XR2. Mostly VJ11 turbo parts in various states of disassembly or wear, but the real diamond is a VJ11/Tbird hybrid that is for some reason missing a compressor housing. I'd definitely like to put the Tbird hybrid back together, and wouldn't mind trying to get some of the VJ11's back in commission to use as spares, or to hybrid with some of the VJ14's I have laying around.

I'd like to find someplace where I can maybe get a compressor housing or buy some complete turbos that are blown, just so I can have some parts. I've looked on eBay and Car-Parts.com, but I really can't justify dropping $200-500 these things sight unseen... Infact, the closest listing for a 1988 Tbird Turbo on Car-part is a yard that has two of them, with the price listed as "$Call". Funny thing is, it's a yard that my buddy and I went to looking for Tbird turbos that had 2 87/88 Turbo Coupes back in like 2009. They are probably the same cars, seeing that place wanted $600+ for the turbos... I also don't think I've seen F2T car or Turbo Coupe in one of my frequent visits to my local You-Pull yards since George W was in office... I do come across bargains when I do site wide Craigslist searches, but when I inquire about whether or not they would take money via PayPal and then ship to me, they react like I just asked them to solve world hunger...

Just looking for a place or places where I can throw up a WTB ad, or maybe some of you have some of this stuff laying around and would be willing to make an exchange?

Mx6.com is your best bet. Forum is basically dead though.

JamesMcD might have a few parts he's hoarding.

There's a Facebook group called "Mazda GD Chassis (Mx6 and 626) Enthusiasts Worldwide" which is worthwhile to join, although it is largely populated by Australians who think everyone else in the group is Australian and who continually post ads without giving their locations...It's still neat to see all the GD cars people are still working with around the world though.

I have a stock F2T turbo I would sell. It works fine aside from needing oil seals. But if you're gonna take it apart anyways...

You'll need to log in to post.
