Sorry, not Canadian, some Provence thereof. It said "Le me souviens" or something. I learned only recently that was French for "Never Forget"

Everytime I see those plates they're headed North all hunkered down in the trunk; I thought Le me Souviens meant Bring back Souvenirs.

Je me souviens. More accurately, "I remember" if my french hasn't totally abandoned me.

That would be a Quebec plate. Jacques and Gilles Villeneuve were from Quebec. This is not a coincidence.
