This is what separates the good drivers from the great ones.

I am assuming this was WOSCA? I went in to the garage walking on green grass and came out 4 hours later to what you show. YUCK.

I did an easter autocross at the old Denver airport in Colorado once. When we got to the site there was about 4-5" of snow on the ground. The course was sent up then they sent every one was sent out and we drive round and round in a line, progressively faster. With the temp rising and the sun out we soon had a a very very wet course. Delayed the start a couple of hours and we ran a progressively dryer event. Could probably only work somewhere like Denver with lots of sun shine.

Here in NY State I thought having an event in May was nuts. Do they let you run studded snows?

Yes, that was the event held at Hiawatha in Sarnia today. I had considered going for old times sake.

'Twas indeed. I was there as a spectator/informed helper as my E36 needs new struts and the Alfa is all 'sploded. We had to give up shortly after I took the picture as our timing equipment is not set up to record more than 130 seconds per pass (throws up error flags), and average time went from 64-65 seconds to around 135.

All agreed that it was way more fun in the snow, though -- all but those having to marshall, that is.

No, despite my protestations. I said I wanted the "Swedish tire option" but it was pointed out that the owners of the lot might look unfavourably on having the surface chewed to hell and gone.

That looks like a drift course with people that have summer tires on.
