Any recommendations for a west-coast to New England transporter? Not looking for show-car movers, just reliable and economical. Thanks.

Reliable may not be economical. I've paid north of 1.2k for eastcoast to westcoast.

I paid 925 from San Diego to Raleigh NC. I used ship a car direct who then coordinated the actual delivery company. That being said the company did damage my car but ship a car direct has a 100% damage free guarantee so I am waiting to see what happens

"Reliable" is not economical, but they are reliable. :) I've shipped two cars with them (one outbound, one inbound) and been very happy with the results both times.

These days enclosed transport runs a dollar a mile, open is about half that. It goes up and down with the price of diesel fuel.

I have shipped 3 cars this past year about 1,000 miles each time and my price has generally been 55-45 cents per mile. Open trailer.

So, my experiences are the same as above.

I have done 3 through Uship.com with great success.

I've used reliable two times. Once for ine car and the second time for 3 cars. Not the cheapest, but I recommend them if you don't mind paying. I also used a random guy I found through a random website and that worked out ok. I managed to find a guy heading from DC back to AL with an empty trailer when I wanted to get a car from Hampton Roads to AL.
