Thank you for posting this. I have for a very long time wanted a good scan of page 47 of the 10 December 1954 issue. I now have one! My personal paper copy is fading badly, and my father is the person furthest left on the page in the Laycock overdrive advertisement. The irony here is that the rally was run in such poor conditions that they never went fast enough to use overdrive at all.

That must have been alot of work to scan all the old magazines , I wish the old German magazines would do the same ( Maybe they do ) as I really enjoy the few old 1950s Auto Motor und Sport and Das Auto magazines in my collection.

Yes, I suspect they have been at it since the invention of the scanner, and they're just done now. The paper the English ones were printed on was the thinnest, nastiest cheap acidic pulp too. All the paper copies I had disintegrated decades ago. The mounted page is faded 60% as well.
