Hi, all. I have a few AX classing conundrums on hand, and I'd appreciate input.
- 2019 Porsche 911 base - Super Street lists "911 (991.2 chassis, incl. GT3, Turbo; excl. GT2, GT3 RS, & Turbo S) (2017-19)"
I'm reading this that all 991.2 chassis cars fall here unless specifically noted otherwise.
- 2023 Volvo S60 Recharge - ??? no idea, but it is a stonker. 312hp from the gas engine plus another 143 hp electric. 0-60 is about 4 seconds. The Tesla S falls in Super Street; all Model 3s fall in A Street. The 0-60 time is right about the same as a Model 3 (little faster than the Dual Motor, little slower than the 3P). That's where I think I'll put it, but I just thought I'd see if anyone had ideas.
- 2020 BMW X3M Competition - Has "a tune". I'm thinking STU.
Thanks!

SS is correct for the 911. The Volvo technically could go to HS by the "Volvo: NOC" listing though that's really an oversight and not really "correct". By my googling the bmw doesn't meet the height/track width ratio requirement.
is that supposed to be 2022 X3M?

Not an official scca link, but someone told me about this site to make it easier to find your class. I haven't used it yet but it seemed cool!

It's a 2020, I think. Thanks, everyone.
If the tune changes boost it goes to mod classes.

No, ST did away with that restriction a while ago once someone finally figured out it's impossible to enforce. Doesn't change the fact that the vehicle itself doesn't meet safety requirements unless it's been lowered. If this is for a non-SCCA club i suppose they can do whatever they want in that regard though.
In reply to dps214 :
Interesting. I stepped away pretty much completely in 2018

It is a non-SCCA event. However, we have the driver on notice that if we don't like the way it looks on course, his day is over.
duke, feel free to email classmycar@scca-susq.com if you need help in the future

Thanks! I also know there is an unofficial "classerator" at the SCCA site.
Height/track width is so berkeleying outdated. This isn't 1996 anymore. The Explorer ST rolls around on 275 series rubber at all 4 corners. It has so many Nannie's on it that if it thought it could roll over, it wouldn't. Or I'd just make it look stupid like most autocross cars out there with some mega negative offset wheels....

This X3M is also substantially lowered on coilovers.
We also have a guy in a lowered F150 on rubber so hard it would be difficult to generate enough traction for a rollover, and a Maverick (truck version) on stock wheels / tires and lowered to the point of 1" fender gap all around.
In general we don't let vehicles that don't meet the 1:1 rule run, but we will with careful review.
