OK - I'm just getting back to motorsports.
I used to autocross in he stock class. I'm seeing the "Street" class is the new entry level (low modification) class.
In the Street Class rules it states a single anti-roll bar may be added. It does not specify front or rear. Is the location left up to the driver?
Face it - if you add a rear sway bar to a car already equipped with a front bar - that car will rotate much better - from my understanding.
From the 2024 rule book:
Yes if you're running in Street you can only change one sway bar, either end, your choice. In higher classes like Street Touring, Street Prepared etc you can change both sway bars.
My understanding is that you can change or remove one bar. I run two street class cars.
The specific change depends on the dynamics of the car.
My Miata has a larger front bar, the Civic has a bigger rear bar. My other front wheel drive car has a totally stock suspension, and I didn't want to buy a rear bar for it, so I just unhooked one end of the front bar.
Yep, you got it. You can do one sway bar. Front or back.
