Is anyone going to host autocrosses this year in North East Ohio (Cleveland area)?
I can not find any schedule or any discussions on-line.

Neohio SCCA has posted their Solo School on April 30 - unfortunately it is in Pennsylvania.
Ohio Valley Region appears to be running at National Trails Raceway, east of Columbus.
NORA/Akron Sports Car Club also doesn't appear to have a schedule.
Looks like you'll be driving to Toledo, Pittsburgh, and Columbus a lot.
I follow both the NORA/ASCC and NeOhio SCCA FB pages, but I'm not really in touch with anybody anymore. Looks like NORA is still searching for a lot. I'm not sure about Lakeland CC; SCCA had it as a site last year. Hopefully something will come to fruition.
In reply to XLR99:
The problem with Lakeland is that the parking lot was coming apart last year. I won't run there again unless something changes.
I ran the Q45 at the final event last year at Lakeland. The afternoon course was modified/changed from the morning version due to major potholes developing on some key turns.
mid ohio sports car club runs in shelby. i'm going to go to their first event and see how it is, i've heard good things about them. one of their committee members is a GRM forum member.

How many DNF's did you have?
The course layout was less than ideal.
We looked like this but you could have not noticed and mistaken us for a Ford Taurus.

LOL, I just walked thru the kitchen and saw this- my son found this vintage MOSCC mug in the basement and brought it upstairs:
Thanks for clarifying about the Lakeland lot. I kind of remember hearing about that last fall. Pity.
I used to race at Lakeland CC and even attended classes there. I know they are updating quite a bit on the grounds so i wonder if racing is even going to be possible in that lot anymore.
Maybe in the big front lot closest to the street?
NORA is lot searching. Sad cause i liked that group.
Fingers crossed
The last I heard on Lakeland is that much of the lots we used are going away and a new building is going up. There will probably be no room for autocrossing.
My PCA region (EBR) is working on some dates at a smallish lot in Trumbull county. It is nearly impossible to find a lot these days in these parts.
Meanwhile, the Ford engine plant in the Brookpark and 150th region has a hee-YUUGE asphalt lake and it's more or less empty...
How about Norwalk Dragstrip (Summit Motorsports Park)
Huge place and you could draw from CLE, Toledo, Mansfield and even Columbus.
All the dark pavement in this photo.

What were you driving? I don't remember seeing your BMW. Also, I thought I heard that they (Lakeland) were fixing the lot. I can't confirm that, though.
Also, OP, it's a bit of a drive, but MBRSCCA does events at Lake Erie Speedway just past Erie. Yeah, it's in PA, but I've done the trek from Kent, it's not bad. My friend Jon has trekked from Akron in his Elise. He's a trooper. And the MBR guys put on a solid event.

The corvette club used to race at LCCC. They have some decent sized lots.
[Big announcer voice] Monday, Monday, Monday! [/Big announcer voice]
Yesterday was the grudge match of the 2015 Challenger cars.
Pat G's 11th overall finishing Challenge car (Datsun Z w/ SBC) autocrossed in Mid Ohio against my 10th overall finishing Challenge car (Infiniti Q45)
The Results show that the winner of this competition was Pat G with 44.434 and the Infiniti only being able to best with a 44.709.
But wait, there's more...
In a repeat of Challenge circumstances, the Datsun arrived on a trailer and thankfully that trailer was there to take it home due to the sudden mystery of brown coolant leaving the system after the last run.
The Q45 however continued to soldier on and got me home in a level of luxury I've become accustomed to and air conditioned comfort.
Being a busy day of either working or driving, I really took no pictures for the day. But, the one picture I did take was of my class competitor when I realized that I was handing him his hat.
Yes, I am proud to say that the Q45 was crushing this Mustang 5.0 with factory Recaros and Brembos. What are we talking, $40k vs $2k?
The Q45 continued to delight making wonderful (and largely unexpected) sounds on the course.
As the heaviest car there at 4,000lbs and with the longest wheelbase, this tight and technical course was tough to navigate (as can bee seen by my cone count.) Though I am not trying to make excuses, it should also be noted that the Q45 was in exact trim as shown in Gainesville (no improvements) and was also riding with a known, fully leaked out right rear shock.
My new joke of the day is to ask the grid worker/starter if he is the valet parking attendant.
i thought my last run was fastest by feel, and i was correct apparently as i wasn't paying attention to the time, just trying to get back to the trailer to park as my coolant was at 230 and climbing fast. i was at 43.7 but tipped a couple cones.
probably pull the engine this weekend and get it on the stand and regasket/check the whole thing since it's extremely unknown, and see if i can get it back together for the 2nd race on the 17th.
