Stacey David’s GearZ® is pleased to announce that beginning in October, your favorite episodes of GearZ will be airing on MavTV.
A message from Stacey:
“In searching out a new network, we were astonished at the "Jersey Shore"/"Honey Boo Boo" mentality of the major networks. Many actually told us they were looking for shows that featured stupidity and buffoonery, as opposed to quality, intelligent programming. That’s why we are very excited to be moving GEARZ to MavTV! They not only understand the gearhead mentality and embrace the lifestyle, but actually have a plan and a vision to build a network that Americans want to see. With the growth of MAVTV exploding, it won’t be long before MAV becomes THE destination for automotive programming. We look forward to being in the middle of that!!.”
MavTV is an entertainment cable and satellite television channel, focused towards an "action-oriented family audience", and featuring films, motorsports and other acquired series programming. MAVTV is currently available to 65 million homes and has 26.5 million subscribers with deals in place that will put them over 70 million avails and 30 million subscribers by the end of the year. MAVTV can be found in the US on Cablevision, Charter Communications, GCI in Alaska, select cable systems within the Caribbean Co-op, Comcast, Time Warner Cable, Dish Network, DirecTV and C-Band Satellite.
nice, I already get that channel. Too bad I bet Stacey still rocks the Mississippi mudflap haircut. But his show was always pretty entertaining...
That used to be one of my favorite car shows. Now it's just one big infomercial. I won't miss it.
AND you can watch all his shows online as soon as they are aired if you don't get MavTV.
That's OK I'll watch it twice to make up for the damage that comes about from Bravenrace not watching.
"We are also very excited about Season VIII of GearZ, airing on MAVTV as well as on a brand new GearZ website that will allow every person in the world with internet access the ability to see every new episode of Stacey David’s GearZ®! Whether it's viewed on TV or your preferred electronic device, everyone will have the opportunity to join the fun and see Stacey work his magic.
More details about how to register for the internet service coming soon."
I don't have this channel.

If he was astonished, he must not have been paying attention to the dreck that's on most of the cable channels these days.
All the episodes until the latest season are on youtube.
Considering my company is a sponsor I really need to catch a few episodes. online, since I only have the most basic of cable plus netflix.

Yes you do. You have the internet and if you reread my post you see that you will be able to watch current shows online.
In reply to plance1:
It showed up around the same time that Speed changed to FS1. It shows some of the stuff that speed dropped and old westerns and episodes of gunsmoke and bonanza.
There is also a show called Won and Done with the guy from Pinks on it.
Then I'm confused. Why are you bummed you don't have the channel since you knew you could watch current episodes online?

Anyone know what channel mavtv is on direct tv?
IIRC, Gearz was talking w/ Discovery Channel about picking it up. That woulda been nice.

Yeah, it was getting unwatchable by the end. 2/3 of the show was devoted to sponsor crap. Barely any building.
I dunno of my cable system (Cox) has that channel, anyway.
