Light cars are getting good enough wear out of the Bridgestones. My friend racked up something like 300 runs on the RE-71R's on his NB last summer and says they still have life in them for someone who is less of a perfectionist than him.

Heavy cars that are camber challenged and don't heat cycle them before beating on them - they wear them pretty fast, but even the nationally competitive Mustangs and BMW's I know of got a full season out of them (maybe 100-150 runs).

Ditto with the team dynamics offerings. WB, how are the re71's in terms of wear for street usage? I would be amazed if any tire survived this car for more than 15k miles, but would they actually wear well enough to get driven on? This is why I miss the z1 star spec. I did 2 years of 3 seasons with events on one set.

I didn't get the full season out of mine last season ...cancer knocked me out of anything after July ... but I usually drive to and from, on avg 20 autoX's each yr ... 2 1/2 hrs each way (so ~240 mi round trip) so about 5k each season .... I had anticipated 2 seasons out of a set of 71R's .. at least that's how I figured the R1R's of the previous seasons ... they're reasonably quite

for a "legal" street "R" comp ... that's how they feel on the cause ... 10k mi seems reasonable ... especially since I'm in a dog fight each season in both regions, plus the local autoX club

the RE11's and the other brands you listed, will be slower on track ...and you'd probably get a bit more road milage out of them
