Very fun! Not so good for speed. At least I dried it off for the others.
Did your camera have a smudge on the lens? I keep seeing a bunch of crap in the area of the passenger door.
Sorry, I had too .....
Looks like fun! Despite living in the rainy NW I have yet to autoX in the rain! I am sure I will get the opportunity at some point this season!
This is from the 2008 Virginia Autocross Championships. Sea Foam normally is something that comes in a can, but in this case it was blowing onto the course from the Chesapeake bay.

Ignore the pics from the "one-uppers". You had fun and the car looks great with battle scars.
Congrats!
i've noticed a lot of one upping lately on this board. fun pics, rain autocrossing is always a great time, proves who the real drivers are :)
I've noticed more one-upping.
Looks like fun all 'round! I bet that Beetle must be a blast to slide around in the wet.
I had the pleasure of codriving a bone-stock 240SX in the rain at the last AutoX. Working was miserable, but drifting around everything at full lock was totally worth it.

well that's an intersting question.. does it count if you didn't actually make car->cone contact..
Running in the rain is fun. Occasional hail even more fun. Working the course during those times, not so much fun. I had the pleasure of being the last to run as hail started to come down. Needed to wear my helmet as we broke the course down to keep from getting pelted by the hail chunks. It was a fun run though, you can even hear me cackle with joy if you listen carefully. fun with hail I'm jealous of someone that gets to autocross in February, rain or not.
We had an event where it was so foggy you sometimes had trouble seeing the next gate. I'll dig some pictures up.

I noticed it first.
We do half our autox's in the rain by me. One time we had a dexterity in the dry season, which is bad weather for attracting spectators, so we had a water truck come and spray down the parking lot

hopefully warming up for the challenge. Last year did not have too much of it and it needs more.

I only like it before and after it's cool.
I can't stand wet events. Sure, sliding around and playing with slip angles is fun, but you can't get a really fast time and anytime outside the car just sucks. Beetle hoonage is very cool
