Thanks. Not only am I having a hard time finding a motor (not impossible, but not easy), I'm having a bear of a time finding anyone who wants to work on an AW11.

I'm also in Atlanta and RDS Automotive in Scottdale has worked on my AW11 for 16 years. The owner, Tom, has done me right in all that time. You'd have to talk to him about engine swaps, but his shop has done all sorts of jobs I didn't want to or couldn't handle at the time. You might also try JM Auto Performance in Doraville. While I haven't had them work on my AW11, Javier does race prep and runs a Miata in Champ car I believe so he might also be an option.
Does RDS still work on your car? Their website says only 2000 and newer cars.
I called Javier and he's a real nice guy... however he wants $190/hour to work on the car
Any GRM person want a project to work on? I'll pay in cash and alcohol of your choice.

Find an engine and then reach out to me. We can figure something out.

Do you want to bring it to PA? I can swap an MR2 engine in a day no problem.
RDS does still work on it. There's a chance I may have been grandfathered-in due to my history with Tom. I'll give him a call and see if he's interested, but it looks like they're closed this week for vacation.
Javier has typically been on the high-side, but the work has always been solid and he's also been willing to do real diagnostic work for weird issues so it never bothered me. That said, $190/hr is surprising.
