If this link will work it might help you identify your dune buggy:

Really  didn't help me, seems to be more oriented to fiberglass bodies.

I already identified it.   Joe Poty "Spoiler"

Sorry for the late reply... busy weekend!

I didn't want to take/post pics of the guys other stuff out of respect for his privacy. He made it very clear to me that he usually doesn't sell ANYTHING.

I wasn't sure what the body was honestly, but you guys seem to have nailed it! I really dig the built in spoiler, and didn't think I'd like the hood scoop... but I do! After looking over it, it seems to be pretty well made.

The yellow is paint, it appears to have been red gel coat originally. It's painted pretty well.

The shifter is better than some I've been in, but no doubt has room for improvement!

Im eyeing some exhaust choices, and will probably end up with a teepee/stinger setup, but I do like the look of the 4 separate "power pipes" though they probably aren't great for power, lol.

Thanks for the advice on engines! See my next paragraph!

Got my first letdown yesterday when I ran the engine serial number (after my condenser I ordered was different) and discovered that the engine isn't the 1600 single port that would've come in the chassis, but rather a 1200 40hp from a 61-65 Beetle. :(  More excuse to look for a hotter engine I suppose.

I started working on it, so I'll start a build thread.

In reply to buzzboy :

I'm not sure exactly why he built it that combo, but there's a little less case clearancing involved with the 78mm crank.
