Hi guys,

I've tried looking on summit but I realized I don't even really know what to look for. I know what I want but I don't know what it's called. I have a few things, including an extra fuel pump, that I want to wire directly to the battery. The car's an E30 if that helps. I don't want to bolt things to the battery clamp nut. Ideally I want a way to add an extra post(s) to the terminal, or change to a terminal that has these.

Can anyone tell me how to do this, and especially helpful would be a link to the actual product that would do what I want.

Thanks! D

Go to a car stereo store. They will have what you need.

I used these...

but they seem to no longer be available. Here is a google search showing some of the different types

Summit seems to have those:

But where does the battery cable go? The E30 has a super-fat battery cable, like OO gauge or something...

I usually replace the battery terminals with marine terminals with wing nuts if you have enough height. Then just crimp or solder ring terminals onto all the wires that terminate at your battery and you are done. Easy to add anything you want and easy to disconnect for removal.

On vehicles with side-post batterys I will pull out the bolt from the battery terminal and run a piece of long-enough all-thread down inside the battery till it bottoms out, then use a nut to secure the battery cables. This makes a much more secure connection than using the threads on the bolt from the battery terminal and you are much less likely to pull the threads out from crossthreading.

Try RV store, too.
