In reply to WilberM3:

I like it. One of the problems with the HF unit I've got is that the front roller continually comes loose, even with loc-tite applied liberally. I looked at taking it apart to redo the seals, decided, heck with this, I can was a day or two fooling with it & maybe get it right, or I can just go buy a new one. I really like the 2 front wheels. Thanks for pointing this out, about to go hit the TR banner on the GRM page so I can help support GRM as well

Thanks to everyone for the input! I may try rebuilding the HF unit just to leave in the race trailer after I get the new jack. Depends on how froggy I feel

My HF orange steel 2 ton has lasted 14 years. I topped up the fluid once.

No bleeding, no nothing. I keep hoping it will break so I can get a cool aluminum one, but this one won't fail.

I've got 15+ years out of a "Big Red" jack i bought new at 75% off due to it leaking in the box. Love this jack it had a pedal on the side for raising it to the frame = less pumping

Being a member of the Dumais family, I've never had to do more than fill a floor jack every decade or so. What is the approximate bore and can/should you use one of the spring loaded hones for brake cylinders or something else? I need one of them low profile jacks now and was thinking a HF aluminium version might be the way to go. Especially if I can "rewire it"
