I've finally reached the point in my work on the El Camino where I need to work out getting combustible liquids from the tank and into the carburetor. To do this I have an aftermarket Holley pump & pressure regulator and a braided fuel line from the Chevy truck that the engine itself came out of- and I also need to be able to hook up the fuel pressure gage to adjust the pressure regulator to where the Edelbrock carb will be happy. So, needless to say, I've got a whole mess of things that need to be hooked together that don't just easily hook together.
What's the best store- presumably auto parts, but if someplace else would be better I'm game- for finding fuel system adapters like this? I can't really just order it online since I need to be able to make sure that everything actually fits since there are a number of different sizes and thread patterns. Thanks!
Hardware store or plumbing supply house. Barb fittings, and threaded brass fittings.

The pricing isn't great, but the Pep Boys near me has a new "speed shop" store-within-the-store that actually has a fairly good collection of things like that on the shelf.
Good agricultural oriented NAPA, the kind that makes custom hoses, (AN is just a extra high precision spec for standard JIC hydraulic fittings), or a speed shop with a weatherhead cabinet.
I have had good luck with the local to me Napa (Annapolis, MD). Carries all kind of weird I never thought they would have stuff... YMMV with your local store.
Cool, I'll have to check some of those out. I figure on checking at the Home Depot since I need to go there for house stuff anyway, but there is a NAPA store not too far from my place I'll check out.

No, I haven't been in that one for a while. There's one closer to me, in Florence, that I've been to recently and they had a selection of AN and other fuel line fittings and tubing. I don't know if that's something in all their stores, or if it's something unique.
